The Little Longhorn Saloon — affectionately remembered as Ginny's — is a fixture of Austin, Texas, one of a handful of locales in Austin that have managed to survive the onslaught of modernity and still retain a sense of how things used to be when Austin was still just a small, laid-back cowtown in the middle of (almost) nowhere. Ginny's has also survived the nearly two-year shutdown due to the Covid-19 pandemic, and upon re-opening was greeted with city-wide fanfare (or maybe just neighborhood-wide, since they like to keep things low-key). I shot some video with my phone one night and decided to use it as the basis for a little experiment in video editing and effects application.
